The effects of the functional garment on the biomechanics during the single leg drop landing

Introduction ; A functional biomechanics garment (FBG) may help to prevent injury by improved kinematics during motion such as single leg drop landing (SLDL). The purpose of this study was investigate the effects FBG on SLDL. Method Seventeen female university basketball players participated. Characteristics were designed based weight-loaded performance human movement. average values lower limb and kinetics in sagittal frontal planes from 3 SLDL with without measured compared. Results maximum varus angle knee showed a significant difference between use (15.3 ± 15.1 °) (5.9 15.4 °), flexion angular displacement hip (with FBG, 21.5 8.1 °; 24.0 6.7 FBG. moment FGB (1.1 0.6 Nm) significantly smaller than (1.4 0.8 Nm). Discussion; Regarding function rigid part could counter excessive adduction hip, elastic thigh support when stretched. Therefore, subjects control knee, which has risk injury, dynamic valgus Conclusion Use decreases valgus, reduces injury.
